2004 -- GlobalSantaFe Corporation (NYSE: GSF) and
RESULTS IN LEARNING today announced that their
behavior-based FOCUS safety course won a Platinum
award at the 37th Annual WorldFest
Houston International Film Festival and earned a finalist
honor at the 25th Annual Telly Awards.
"This award-winning video is an example of our
commitment to safety and the proactive approach
to safety training that occurs throughout our worldwide
operations," said Marion Woolie, senior vice president
of operations at GlobalSantaFe. "We have worked
throughout 2004 without incurring a single lost
time incident in our offshore operations in the

provider of behavior-based safety, leadership, experiential,
and technical training. "These awards demonstrate
Results In Learning' continued commitment to providing
quality, leading edge, behavior-based safety training.
The key to this type learning is moving safety from
a person's mind to their heart.
Last year we delivered training to more than 19,000 people
in 41 countries and 19 languages, and although
we worked with a multitude of cultures, the bottom-line
is nobody wants to get hurt. For a company to be
successful, safety must be a core value, rather
than a priority, because unfortunately priorities
change," said Greg Anderson, president and chief
operating officer of RESULTS IN LEARNING. "FOCUS
is more than behavior based safety," explains GlobalSantaFe's
vice president of safety and training, Rick McClaine.
"It is a process of actively engaging every GlobalSantaFe
employee in the safety process, which results in
injury free operations."
The video, directed by Locke Bryan Productions,
earned the Platinum award in the film/video production-safety
first aid category and the Telly Award in safety.
